I had my last high dose 5 day Temozolomide treatment in early October and my neutrophils continue to fall. Currently 0.84, does any one have any thoughts, concerns, or suggestions.
Thanks Mike

I would ask about a shot of Neulasta to give an immediate boost but also look to some supplements such as Esberitox (from any pharmacy or drug store), Marrow Plus from www.emersonecologics.com , and Ultra Reishi from www.blockmd.com

It seems there is no sure (proven) way to increase the counts with supplements but these seem to have anectdotal evidence (they also seem to have worked for Uschi's Don, and did work for Jane).

Cheers,

Ross.

Hi Mike,

As Ross mentioned Neulasta worked very well for Don. He had a shot over 3 yeras ago and has not needed it since the other immune stimulants I mentioned earlier. So hopefully it is possible to try and prevent. Don's now on round 38 and the last 2 cycles he has needed a few extra days to recover, but he has used Temodal for 3 years without any problems.

Best wishes

Uschi.

Do I ask my oncologist about Neulasta or my GP?
