Going stir crazy at 6.5 weeks. I have gained weight and want to go back to my old gym routine...I am hoping at my 7week post op visit on Tues they will allow me to go back...when were you allowed to push/pull/ lift more then 10lbs/ do aerobics or weight training? I feel so much better when I exercise its killing me! Not to mention I was not in good shape almost hit my goal and got diagnosed...feel like I have to start over. GRRR for brain tumors

Were you told any reason why you could not exercise?

They got me started before I could walk. I spent 5 weeks in a rehab ward exerising at least four hours.

I am a life time exercise nut and was back at the gym well before I was back at work :).

All the best.

I was told not to drive/push/pull/bend/no isometrics or aerobics and no lifting over 10lbs until 7 week post op visit...said those activities can increase pressure in brain...which does make sense but I am going nuts!

I was told I am allowed to walk. And to slowly introduce excersise back into my routine but not to push my body because of the recovery being up to a year before your cranium and brain settle into their permenent postions.

After getting the 'OK' last week I attempted the gym... was able to walk for 30min started to get dizzy so I stopped... it felt good though. Went back to work this week so gym is on hold for a bit. Do not want to over do it
