Jane has had Thalidomide for nine months now so I decided to get a test done to check for Thalidomide induced neuropathy, it is good news for Jane as she tested fine.

The tip I have for anyone starting Thalidomide is that it is wise to have a test very soon after or before starting Thalidomide, that way you can use that initial test as a base to judge any loss. (ie in Jane's case we know that she is OK, but we don't have a comparison to see whether there is a downward or stable trend.)

The neurologist that performed these tests for Jane indicated that they are routine for multiple myeloma patients whom are on Thalidomide.
