Does anyone have any information as to whether celebrex should be taken with Temozolomide or when I am off the chemo. My reading of the limited info on the subject in ben's paper implies that it is taken in between chemo cycles.

Mike,

Don takes Celebrex when on chemo and has done so for a few years, I haven't heard of any one going off Celebrex during chemo??

The trials and reports that I have seen indicate that the Celebrex is taken on the days of Temodal only, but those trials used a longer than 5 day dosing schedule of Temodal. Uschi posted one of them here where Temodal was taken for 10 days along with Celebrex for those 10 days.

See: http://btsurvivor.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=51

Anectdotally I think everyone that I have had contact with that takes Celebrex has it everyday regardless of chemo. (Certainly Jane has been.)

Thanks Guys, I have been taking celebrex continuously (800mg per day) and will continue to do so through my latest Temodar round.
