Hi,
My daughter, Emma (just turned 4!) has a brainstem tumor, a tectal glioma. It is inoperable and fairly rare. We are fortunate that to date, the tumor has remained stable and the only problem it has brought to us is causing Emma to have hydrocephalus and as a result, she has a shunt.

I am hoping to find others with this same type of tumor so that we can "compare notes" and offer support/information to one another.

If you, or you have a loved one with a tectal glioma, please connect with the tectal glioma support group at: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/tectalglioma/
There are links and information and support tailored specifically for tectal gliomas.

My prayers go out to all who are affected by brain tumors.

Sincerely, Amy

Maybe this would be better in the links forum.

I believe that posters should feel free to post here for the benefit of the users of this site.

I wish you and your daughter all the best.
