Hey guys,

My partner's current daily medication is:

dexamethasone (being tapered)
1x wild krill oil tab
1 x calcium tab BD
1 x vit D tab
1 x multivitamin

He is also taking potent traditional chinese medicine.

Is there any suggestions to what I should add to this? His blood levels for eveything are pretty normal for except his white cell count (lower than average).

He also has ALOT of muscle wasting. I have bought that whey powder protein, will that help with this problem?

Thanks :)

This is the dex.

Weight training will help, as will the tapering.

Has he had an operation?

we are down to a ridiculously small amount of dex now- 0.125mg

he has been doing bicep curls, but both sides of his body are becoming very weak to continue this.

He has not had the op yet, but very seriously considering it though.

Try body weight holds. For example, lower into a press up and hold.

Google "body weight exercises" or similar.

If he isn't used to exercising, then he is going to need extra rest. Try doing them circuit style.

Thanks for that, Ive got him doing some of those + using the exercise bike. Although his knees are pretty shot and his calves have atrophied, I think if you dont use it, you lose it!

Also, hes completely off the dex but the headaches persist (worst in the mornings). He just takes panadeine but anyone know of anything natural that may help as well?

Ashoney, Your partner's daily medication is really good.
you don't need to add anything more in it expect something for your partner's white cells problem.
And one more thing, for muscle wasting problem whey powder protein I'm sure will help you.
