Hi Nancy

It never easy this journey and it always seems such a short time when recurrence happens.

My heart goes out to both of you. My high school was built on the grounds of an old gas works and ten years ago they moved, but not before they found toxic chemicals in the ground.

Best of luck for the next round of treatment.

Cheers Ken

My husbands surgery was a huge success in the doctors believe all of the visible tumor old and new growth was removed. We have another MRI in 3 months to verify if that is the case after some healing is achieved in the surgical site. My husband bounced back beautifully from the surgery and he returned back to work last week after the 19 staples were removed and the doctor said he could go back to work as long as it was office work and no heavy lifting still and to watch his energy level. The pathology report also indicates that the new tumor growth is still an Oligodendroglioma Grade II. Although there were area's resected that had tighter cells dividing quicker...the overall assessment is still Grade II. So at this time we are going to wait till the next MRI at 3 months and reflect on next option of wait and watch or to try chemotherapy again if there is some lining of residual tumor. Thanks so much for everyone's thoughts and prayers .... This second surgery went better than the first one back in November of 2005.
