Let's just damn those statistics for now. Here are my five favorite GBM4 survivor stories (who aren't on this forum, because of course, they're my very favourite survivors - eg http://www.btsurvivor.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1095&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=).

Kate 5yr survivor - positive lovely lady, who just seemed to have the right attitude from day one.

Natasha King 9yr survivor - lovely story written by her mother - and amazingly Natasha had a baby in 2007.

Robert McClean - was a 8yr survivor in 2003 - present status unknown - just seems a like a good Aussie bloke who got on with his life.

http://www.ozbraintumour.org/mclean.htm

David M Bailey - 13 yr survivor whose GBM4 became a turning point in his life and allowed him to successfully pursue his dream of becoming a singer/songwritwr

http://www.davidmbailey.com/

Jerry Kline - 5.5 yr survivor - who declared "total war" on his GBM4. I like this guy because he just got on with his life, barely skipped a day of work.

There are many other GBM4 survivor stories out there, but these are the ones I find most inspirational right now.

If you've got a favourite survivor story, why not add it here -- let's keep this positive, and concentrate on thriving, not just surviving.

And here's another nice one: Scott Norris (10 years)

Thanks for the links.

Not surprisingly I found Natasha's story very interesting. I haven't heard of someone with 50% of tumour remaining surviving for this long.

The Scott Norris video was also a valuable first hand account of his experience and coping mechanisms.
