Thank you for the info, you are correct in saying it may be the Mike, although I had no idea he was a doctor!!
The Mike we knew and met was from caboolture and had a great interset in horses.
My condolences to his family and friends.

Hi All

Sorry to say that Mike Gabriel passed away on 11 Feb 2008.

His sister in law posted this message on OzBrainTumour:

Hello,
My name is Julie Foyle and i am Mike's sister-in-law. I have much
regret to inform your group that Mike lost his battle with cancer at
4.45am on monday morning 11th Feb. I am unable to log onto your site
and post this notice myself and i was hoping that this will get there
as i know Mike thought so often of you all, and would wish that you
knew.
It has been a long battle and Mike fought so hard. He passed away very
peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Some may say it is hard to
lose a loved one so young yet we must believe this is because he earned
his wings so quickly.
Mike will be forever with us and our family encourages you all to fight
with all the strength you can muster.
We also thank you all for being there for Mike.
Please feel free to correspond to this email address if anyone needs
anything.
Yours in hope,
Julie Foyle

There are a lot of people on news lists around the world who knew Mike and who are still fighting and drawing inspiration from his BT battle.
